WEBQUEST

1.- Title: POCKET GUIDE TO EMERGENCIES

2.- Introduction:

You never know where you can be caught unawared by an emergency situation. You, as doctors, will help the school to face an emergency situation.

3.- The task:

You work in Chelsea Royal hospital, which is located in Royal Hospital Road, London. The headmaster of the school has asked you for help in emergency situations due to a student fallen down last week. If students had an advice brochure, they would act faster in a similar situation, preventing something worst. For that reason, you will create an advice brochure.



4.- Process:


#Roles-There will be five groups with 4 doctors and one group with 5 ones.
-In the computer room you will work in pairs.
-In each group they will gather information about emergencies and how to act.
-Each doctor will prepare two sentences like:
“ If a student has an small incident, you will find the first aid kit in the headmaster office”
-The extra interviewer in the group of 5 will be the creator of a poster with the logo of the hospital used in all the presentations The poster will be sticked on the blackboard.

#Steps

In the computer room:




All the members of the group have to take notes about emergency situations.
They have also to take notes about the items which are used in a first aid kit.
In Chelsea Royal Hospital:
All the interviewers will write their questions and they will answer them.


In the school:


Doctors will expose their brochure to the class, if they need to use the blackboard in order to exemplify the emergency situation, they can use it.

7.- Conclusion:


After your presentation is complete, the class will know how to face to an emergency situation at the school. Finally, the class will vote the best advice brochure and it will be delivered to the rest of the school in order to helpful.
